Our Surf School was started by a group of friends and family. All who are professional waterman, that are born and raised here in Hawaii. Spending most of their time in the ocean wether it be surfing, swimming, fishing or diving. We take a lot of pride in being one of the only local surf school's and having the best instructors on the North Shore and we love to share the experience of learning how to surf with you!

Our Goal

Our main goal is to be one of your highlights here in Hawaii. Our surf lessons are designed to be as fun, safe and affordable as possible for you. Surfing is supposed to be fun and shouldn't cost as much as others charge in this area. And you can know you will be kept safe and taught proper safety by a local professional surfing instructor.

Don't get lured into one of these "big" companies that will overcharge you and throw you in a group of 15+ people.

Aloha my name is Kekai Grace. I am the head surfing instructor here and have been giving beginner surf lessons since I was around 12 years old here on the North Shore of Oahu. It has been my full time job for over 10 years now and I have taught people from around the whole world to learn how to surf from the ages of 2 all the way to 80 years old and I love it. It's my personal goal to make sure you and your friends/family have a great time in Hawaii and get to experience surfing the right way.

My parents named me Kekai which means "the Sea" in the Hawaiian language and growing up here that's all I know. I spend all my time in the ocean wether it be teaching surf lessons, surfing on my free time or catching fish for dinner. I been on a surfboard before I could walk and have a lifetime of ocean knowledge of the area which makes me confident in teaching surfing lessons to all ages and experiences.

I also come from a big surfing family. My mom's 2 brothers are Derek and Michael Ho, considered by all to be "Surfing Royalty". Derek Ho was the first World Champion of Surfing out of Hawaii and both brothers won and were apart of all major surfing competitions over time. Including the Triple Crown of Surfing, Pipeline Masters, Duke Kahanamoku Classic, and The Eddie Aikau big wave invitational. True legends of the sport I got to learn from and watch growing up. My uncle Derek did pass away in 2020 but was out surfing everyday until than. Rest in Peace Uncle Derek. I recommend looking both of them up if you have some free time.
